I know I haven't posted on here much lately, but I've finally got the Supernatural inspired crochet shawl ready for release!! It's called the Endless Knot & Sun Shawl. It's another filet crochet pattern.

This shawl was a no-brainer for me! I am a huge fan of the Supernatural show & I even have this symbol on my car. For anyone unfamiliar with the show, this is an anti-possession symbol. The brothers get it tattooed on themselves for protection. It's also known as a pentagram or endless knot. A lot of religions use it as a symbol of protection & say it represents the union of all 5 elements & will ward off bad energies. There has been some "bad press" about it, but mostly that’s from people who don’t know the true meaning & spread misinformation.
The Endless Knot & Sun Shawl is a little bigger than the Trinity, so I would highly recommend using a lighter-weight yarn. I did my test shawl in Lion Brand Mandala Ombré in the Cool colour way & used 3+ cakes (about 1100 yards). It's listed as a #4 yarn, but I've always thought it was thinner than that; more like a #3, which is what I would suggest using.
I just LOVE the feel of the Mandala Ombré yarn, even though I really wish it came in some solid colours too. I always struggle with choosing the right colour(s) for a pattern so end up going with multi-hued yard. Sometimes it doesn't work out as planned & I’ll admit that … I do regret my yarn choice here 😒. I think this one turned out okay, but the next one will definitely be a different colour choice lol. I would highly suggest NOT using an ombré or patterned yarn, because the colours can camouflage the pattern, like below.
